iBall United is excited to announce the First Team Selections for the 2016 Men’s iBall National Pro Combine (iBPC).
Scouting was compiled under the direction of multi-year professional player, Crista Ricketts, Director of International Scouting at iBall United and featured contributions by Coach Cantrell, Greg Alessandroni, and Cornel Merricks. Athletic Tests were conducted by Matt Cubbler and his team from MAXOUT and skills evaluations were derived from tournament game-play and skills sessions with Tony Devine and his team at The Original Profender. Scouting highlights were filmed and produced by Big Star & Raw Sports Films.
Desi Washington was named MVP of the 2016 iBall National Pro Combine. Washington displays ankle breaking ball-handling skills. He boasts deep shooting range with a quick stroke, clean shooting motion, and sharp release. Washington is a floor general that is a scoring threat at all times with the ability to score from all positions on the floor. His moves are quick and concise and when driving to the basket, he does not shy away from contact. iBall scout Alessandroni noted that “(Washington) has great court vision, always making teammates better, has a great attitude and always wants to win….when he decides he is going to score – he will score.”

Jon Graham is a versatile center/forward who has a terrific feel around the rim and can also step out and be effective on the perimeter. Graham shows strength and and poise when playing with his back to the basket. He will drop step or quickspin and finish with power or use a very soft touch with both left and right jumphooks. Graham also stretches the defense well with range beyond 22ft / 6.25m. On defense, he uses good length to protect the rim and a high basketball IQ to be in position. Graham has the skillset, work ethic and personality to adopt to multiple pro team roles.
Graham spent the 2015-16 season with PBL powerhouse Lake Michigan Admirals. He also recently toured Spain with Lake Michigan under the direction of Owner Chris Glisson. The son of former University of Maryland great and NBA 3rd round draft pick Ernie Graham, Jon also attended University of Maryland (NCAA D1), playing for Mark Turgeon in 2014-15. Before joining the Terps, Graham played at Penn State University (NCAA D1).

Tylor Wimbish displays a multitude of offensive skills, is dominant from the post position and will stretch the floor by shooting with range beyond 22ft / 6.25m. He puts the ball on the floor well and finishes in traffic. Wimbish plays with a high motor and always seems to be around the ball. On the attack, Wimbish displays a proficient drop-step, spin and fade-away jumper. Wimbish also displays the ability to grab rebounds and go coast to coast with speed. Defensively, he is quick off his feet when fighting for rebounds and is not afraid to take a charge. Wimbish plays with a high basketball IQ.
Wimbish went undrafted in the 2015-16 draft after a solid senior season at the University of Missouri-St.Louis under the direction of coach Bob Sundvold. Wimbish earned Second Team All Conference Great Lakes Valley Conference averaging 13.3 points, just under 6 rebounds, and shooting 53% from the field.

Justin Edmonds is a powerful guard that uses a strong physical build and superior ball-handling and passing abilities to read and react quickly and decisively with the correct decisions. Edmonds shows as a combo guard that can play the point guard position. When the ball is in his hand, he does not waste dribbles. He has a strong 1-2 dribble pull-up from 12-17ft. Edmonds does not shy away from contact and drives to the basket to finish with either hand. He also penetrates to find open players on the perimeter for easy jump shots. A very efficient player, Edmonds chooses shots wisely, shoots at a high percentage and shows shooting range beyond 25ft / 6.5m. A solid defender with very good good hands, Justin uses quick feet and a strong upper body presence to body up and stay in front.
Edmonds was recently awarded the 2016 Chalie Slack “Tough Man” Award at Marshall University (NCAA D1), an award chosen by former Los Angeles Lakers Assistant and current Marshall Head coach Dan D’Antoni and staff. Before joining Marshall, Edmonds starred at Owens Community College and was coached by Head Coach Dave Clarke in Toledo, OH.

Wyatt Polk is a quick and athletic wing who can score in bunches and in a multitude of ways. Polk uses shot and ball fakes well to put defenders off balance and attack the basket in either direction. Polk has an innate ability to find creases and seams in the defense either off the dribble or moving without the ball. He is explosive to the rim and is a superior finisher. Polk has a quick release and connects efficiently from 23ft / 6.25m. Polk attacks both the offensive and defensive rebounds and is quick off his feet to finish rebound-to-scoring opportunities. A superior and willing defender, Polk uses his quick feet, lateral movement, and active hands to cause havoc on the defensive end.
Polk went undrafted in the 2014-15 draft after starring at Rutgers-Camden University where he played for Head Coach Jason Curbison and famed Assistant Coach and former NBA star Billy Owens. At Rutgers-Camden, Polk earned 2014-2015 NABC All-Atlantic Disctrict 2nd Team and 2014-2015 D3hoops.com All-Region 2nd Team. Polk led New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) in scoring with 21.7 points per game.
A transfer from Caldwell University, Polk was a Four-year basketball star at Haddonfield Memorial High School for Coach Paul Weideman where he scored 1,801 points
