Tyler seals ‘Deihl’, Signs with Ithry Nador (Morroco)

Tyler Deihl (PG, SG 6ft 0in / 170lbs) will be on a flight to Morroco, where he will play with Ithry Nador. He will be playing in the city of Nador, located on the Northern coast of Africa and in the first division of Fédération Royale Marocaine de Basket-Ball.

Reaching new heights is what “The Real Deal” did at iBall United. Deihl is a member of iCAN Elite where he works with iBall Agency Advisors for consulting and guidance toward career advancement and assistance to perfect and promote his basketball resume.

At the 2016 iBall National Pro Combine, Deihl exploited the defense and kept players off balance with his dead eye shooting. His feisty style of play, knockdown shooting, anddefense contributed to him being named to iBall United’s 2nd Team. He averaged 9.8 PPG and led the combine in steals (1.3 SPG). In the passing lane he was disruptive. On offense he was the mentor that everyone gravitated toward. His leadership and attitude are among his best attributes.

Some of Deihl’s career highlights include:

  • 2015-16: Top 10 in league scoring (31.7 PPG) and assists (10.8) APG (Georgia Gwizzlies -ABA)
  • 2015-16: ABA All Star as a rookie  (Georgia Gwizzlies -ABA
  • 2014: Player of the Week – Jan 22 2014 (Francis Marion – NCAA D2)
  • 2010: Season high 11 pts vs. Eastern Kentucky (Presbyterian College – NCAA D1)

We connected with Tyler and he was gracious to share his thoughts in an Interview. Check it out below:

How do you feel about landing your first contract?

I am ecstatic to play close to Spain. I’ve been waiting for this my whole life, and I promise to relish the moment. Howard Brown (iBall CEO) has expressed the concern to play well so that it can continue to present opportunities. The amount of support that has been shown is a blessing.

How did iBall prepare you for signing day?

The camp was great exposure and a learning event. Having talked to scouts from overseas at the combine, I learned the logistics of what getting to the next level is about. The drills were intense and the preparation prior to the camp gave me the knowledge to properly market myself.

What was different about iBall compared to other combines?

It was more of a realistic opportunity. Other camps promised stuff that didn’t come through. At iBall I felt I had a legitimate shot to live out a dream. It came true.

What are you looking most forward to in Morocco?

I can’t wait to embrace a new culture. It almost feels like I am going back to college. I’ll be away from home 75% of the year and it will be a fun time. I get to learn more about myself and how I will develop character and handle adversity.
