Jonathan White Wins Best Exterior Player Award for 2013 iBall FOCUS

Jonathon White iBall Focus top exterior playerJonathan White (6-5, 230, Combo Guard/Forward, Cleveland, OH) has been selected as the #1 Exterior Player of the 2013 iBall FOCUS camp.  White’s leadership, versatility, athleticism, and more were on full display all throughout camp.   Jon was highly regarded by all scouts for showcasing the best reads of camp during sessions with The Original Profender led by Tony Devine and Pick and Roll Situations led by iBall’s Coach Cantrell.

White is a physically superior, multi-faceted guard with an outstanding feel for the game.  A true coach’s son, his positive attitude and even-keeled demeanor make him highly coachable.  Jon is an accomplished player with a high level of experience at every position on the basketball court, making him a huge asset to any professional team’s roster.

Jon most recently played for the Charleston Gunners (PBL), a U.S. Semi-Pro team that folded shortly after the start of the 2012 season.  He was recruited heavily as a guard out of high school but spent time most of his time playing out of position and in the interior at the University of Charleston (West Virginia).  Making the best of his situation, he became a relentless rebounder ranking 17th in the nation by averaging 10 per game and finished ranking Top 10 all-time at UC.  He also averaged a double doube (11.7 pts, 10.0 reb) and shot just under 40% from 3-pt range during his junior season and shot over 50% from the field in both his junior and senior years.

Jon finished his career scoring more than 1,000 career points for the Golden Eagles where he served as team Captain for 3 years!  He was named Second Team All-WVIAC, WVIAC All-Tournament Team, and won the Sparky Adams Award for outstanding sportsmanship and leadership in the WVIAC (senior award).  More impressively,  Jon was a back-to-back winner of the George Springer Individual Sportsmanship Award (2010 and 2011), which is a truly rare accomplishment and speaks volumes about his character.

Jon has been recognized nationally for both his on-court and off-court achievements.   In the Spring of 2010, he was featured in NCAA Champions magazine.  He graduated from the University of Charleston (WV) in May 2011 with an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Leadership for which he studied abroad in Varese, Italy.

Jon is represented by Jeff Marshall and is currently unsigned to a professional team. He can be further scouted and contacted via his iBall United Pro Basketball Profile @
